How the Chalkida markets work

The Municipality of Chalkida sets its markets in a regulation updated by the municipal council in June 2024 (decision 127/2024) and extended in August 2024 with two Sunday markets. Laikimap lists all nine: four in the town — Tuesday at Parko Laou, Wednesday in the centre, Thursday in Kanithos and Saturday — and five in Vathy Avlidas, Nea Artaki, Paralia Avlidas, Vasiliko and Drosia. Selling hours are 07:00–13:30.

There is no market anywhere in the municipality on Friday, while Sunday has two, in Vasiliko and Drosia; Thursday and Saturday also have two each. The town's Saturday market moved on 27 September 2025 to 7ou Syntagmatos, Gerontiti and Angelopoulou streets.
