The Municipality of Kilkis's market regulation, approved by the municipal council on 18 November 2024 (decision 230/2024), sets 14 markets: one in the town of Kilkis, on Saturday, with 260 stall places, and 13 in villages of the municipality, with 15 to 50 places each. Five of them — Chorygi, Eptalofos, Myriofyto, Mavroneri and Nea Santa — were founded in 2015.
Selling hours are 07:30–14:30 everywhere. Tuesday has the most markets (4), Wednesday three, Monday, Thursday and Friday two each, Sunday none. If a market day falls on a public holiday, the market moves to the previous working day; the Saturday market in town does not run when it coincides with the annual Kilkis trade fair.
