How the Trikala markets work

The Municipality of Trikala unveiled its new central market on 23 March 2021, after almost 40 years of discussion. It runs every day except Sunday on the central island of Iroon Alvanikou Metopou and 28is Oktovriou streets, with an information kiosk for the market supervisor and the municipal police.

On Mondays a second market is held around Kolokotroni street, and on Saturdays there is one in the railway station (OSE) area, which the municipality moved to Evripidou street in January 2022. Laikimap counts the central market once for each of its six days, so the 8 markets listed here are three places. The sources give no hours, and the list is not complete yet.
